Welcome to the Waverly Humane Society!
The Waverly Humane Society is the only incorporated 501c3 non-profit licensed animal shelter in Bremer, Butler, Chickasaw, Fayette and Franklin Counties.
Currently the Waverly Humane Society is being run from the Director's Home. Our State Licensed Facility is a single stall of our garage with foster homes. We take only animals that we are able to find appropriate foster homes for and at this time, unfortunately, must turn away dozens of animals each week. We are in the process of working out a plan with the City of Waverly to use a currently unused city building. We cannot remodel this building without money and we cannot get money without donations from caring individuals like you. Please consider making a donation or joining our Friends group.
